What if your trauma didn’t mark the end of your life, but a new beginning?

I Carried Deep Dark Secrets for So Many Years

This is me at 17 years old trying to hide. I was hiding the pain of having 7 men sexually violate me by this point. I was hiding the severe eating disorder, and multiple other ways I harmed my body because of self-hatred, shame, and disgust. When I was 19, an eighth man violated me, and I carried that secret with me as well. The secrets became so heavy. I felt like I was going to break under their pressure.

When I was 24, I found a man who loved me in ways I never imagined. I thought I finally found a person I could share my secrets with. But the Universe felt I needed to continue to carry the burden all by myself because I found him dead before I could tell him.

My life spiraled out of control after that. I became morbidly obese, I had debt collectors calling me because I couldn't work due to my deep depression, and I contemplated suicide daily.

I had two choices: to kill myself or figure out how to crawl out of the hole I was in.

I chose to dig myself out!

It was hard, but I did it, and you can too!

I went from not trusting anyone, to having many loving relationships.

I went from harming my body, to practicing daily self-care.

I went from being hounded by debt collectors, to being financially secure.

For years I was told I was stupid, worthless, and would never amount to anything. But I proved them all wrong! I have since gone on to complete my doctorate degree, I'm a college professor, I've traveled around the world, and I use what I've learned on my healing journey to help others on theirs.

Your victimizers want to keep you small. They don't want you to succeed. But you can fight back!

As Frank Sinatra said, "The best revenge is massive success."

I've developed a coaching package to help you design your life based on your terms. Our work together will arm you with the tools I used to break free from my trauma, so I could live the life that my victimizers never wanted me to have so you can do the same.

You are deserving and worthy of a life that doesn't revolve around something that someone else did to you or circumstances that were out of your control.

I spent years figuring this all out, so you don't need to do the same.

I have an extensive trauma history, yet I also have an extensive history of success since my traumas. I've spent years healing, years studying and teaching about the human body and mind, and years studying human potential, so I can help others like me. During our work together, I will walk you through the steps I took to not only heal but thrive after my trauma so you can do the same!

As a life coach, my job is to challenge you and push you farther than you would push yourself, to encourage you to grow and experience change, and ultimately the transformation you're looking for. Transformation cannot occur without growth, without change, and without becoming someone you never were before.

I would be honored to partner with you on your own personal journey to transformation.

Transformation After Trauma Coaching Package

This coaching package is specifically for those individuals who want to make meaning from their suffering. They're surviving and making it through their daily lives, but they don’t want to merely exist any longer. They want to find a purpose for their life, and they want to use their suffering in a way that would help themselves and others.

The package includes:

  • 10 private coaching sessions (11 hours total). The first session is 2 hours in length. The remaining 9 sessions are 1 hour in length.
  • A significant discount for bundling sessions.
  • Access to me between sessions via text and email.
  • A signed copy of my book, Transformation After Trauma: Embracing Post-Traumatic Growth, with a personal inscription.

This package will help you develop a purpose, a mission, for your life. It will help you create a plan for how to achieve the future you envision for yourself. We will also work through the beliefs that will be most likely to hold you back from achieving your goals.

I know you're resentful for needing to do this work in the first place, but there's a beautiful life waiting for you on the other side of your pain.

Let's walk together on your journey forward, so you can emerge from your trauma stronger than you were before. I know you didn't ask to be stronger, but I'll show you the benefits of embracing your pain and using it as fuel to move into a life that is within YOUR control.

After experiencing multiple forms of trauma starting from a young age, I understand why the concept of post-traumatic growth can seem absolutely absurd to some people. Post-traumatic growth is the experience of positive changes in one’s life after trauma.

Yes, our traumas can destroy us. It can feel like we were a building that has collapsed with only a pile of rubble remaining. When we’re in this place where everywhere we look we only see chaos and destruction, it’s easy to only associate pain and misery with our trauma. If you’re in that place, I want you to know that it won’t always be this way.

Over time you’ll begin to pick up the pieces of yourself that have been scattered about. Yes, some of those pieces may never be found again. Yes, the pieces you do find may never fit together in the same way as they did before. This is the beauty behind post-traumatic growth, it’s a process of transformation. It involves you becoming someone you never were before. It could never happen without pieces of your previous self being lost forever and without your remaining pieces being incapable of reuniting in the same way as before.

Yes, it’s normal to grieve the parts of yourself that have been lost forever. Yes, it’s normal to be angry and resentful for enduring the pain and destruction you have, and for now needing to scavenge for the pieces of yourself that have been catapulted from one place to another as your previous self collapsed. However, there are new opportunities for growth and transformation hidden in the process of rebuilding yourself, which will begin to emerge as you progress through the rebuilding process. Eventually, you’ll be able to see opportunities available to you that you didn’t have before your trauma. I know from my own experience that there is unlimited beauty on the horizon once our new self can stand tall again. Yes, it’ll take time and the process will be painful, but the results of the rebuilding process will be beyond amazing!

I decided to not let my victimizers steal one more day of my life from me!

I have chosen to explore the world and all the beauty it has to offer. What will you choose to do in the next stage of your life - in your new beginning? This coaching package will allow you to start dreaming again.

Trauma steals so much from us, but you can begin to take back control!

"Before God guided me to Stephanie, I was incapacitated with insecurities. Stephanie’s calming demeanor and clever analogies caused my light bulb to illuminate! Now I am a confident woman, I have dedicated my life to helping others, I moved to my dream location, I fell in love with and married a loving and respectful man, and (not that money matters) but I make more now then I have ever made in my life! I am the bread winner in our home. I needed Stephanie to guide me to my own pull chain, she encouraged me to pull it, and once I did, my light bulb came on! My light captivated me to transform into my best and most blessed me!! Thanks, Steph, for encouraging and believing in me!"

Frequently Asked Questions

I am not a therapist. Therapists treat diagnosed conditions. They focus on your past to explain why you have your present thoughts, behaviors, and habits. You could be in therapy for years or a lifetime. If your trauma is recent, or you're still having difficulty functioning in your daily life, therapy would be best for you. Therapy can be helpful in getting individuals back to a baseline level of good health.

I am a life coach. Life coaches do not diagnose and do not treat specific conditions. Life coaches spend little time going back into your past. Instead, they focus on getting you from where you are now to where you want to be. Life coaches set their clients up with the skills they need to eventually reach all their goals on their own. That's why coaching is not meant to be a permanent relationship.

If you're at a baseline level of good health and you need help getting unstuck so you can reach the bigger goals you have in life, then you would be a good candidate for life coaching.

Although this program focuses on helping people who have experienced trauma, this program is meant for those individuals who are functioning in their daily life but can see how the effects of their trauma still linger in their present life. My programs are about empowering my clients with the skills they need to move forward from their unchangeable past.

If you're unsure whether you should be working with a therapist, life coach, or both, please email me or schedule a free discovery call to discuss what would be best for you.

The coaching sessions will be held on Zoom. I will ask that you have your camera on. I find it is easier to feel connected when we can see one another. The improved relationship strengthens the impact of the coaching session.

You will receive instructions on how to schedule your first coaching session immediately after registration.

You can email me at [email protected] or text me with any questions. You will be provided my cell phone number immediately after registration.

Unused coaching sessions will expire 18 months after you signed up for the coaching package.

It is your responsibility to notify me at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting if you cannot make the session. If the session is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start of your session, no refund or rescheduling of the appointment will be available to you.

My typical fee is $200/hour. If you cancel at the last minute, I will lose the ability to make $200 during the time frame we were scheduled for.

If you are not satisfied with the coaching sessions for any reason, you can request a refund for any remaining sessions. You will receive $150 for each one-hour session canceled. No previous coaching sessions will be refunded, and no refund will be provided for free sessions that were provided as part of a special offer.

That’s completely understandable. It took me a long time to reach the point where I could think about post-traumatic growth. I encourage you to check out my online course, Tools for Moving Forward After Trauma: serotinouslife.com/tools-for-moving-forward-course
